Service Description
Our forklift training program is designed to teach operators the knowledge and skills needed to safely operate powered industrial trucks in accordance with OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.178 (or CSA B335 in Canada). This training combines classroom instruction with practical, hands on operation to reduce accidents, equipment damage, and workplace injuries. Purpose The goal of forklift training is to: • Ensure operators understand and follow all safety procedures. • Promote efficient, confident handling of loads and equipment. • Comply with regulatory requirements for operator certification. Training Components 1. Classroom / Theory Instruction (Approximately 1 hour) Covers essential safety and operational knowledge, including: • Forklift types and components (sit down, stand up, reach truck, walk behind, etc.) • Regulatory standards: OSHA 1910.178 and employer responsibilities. • Load handling principles: stability triangle, center of gravity, and rated capacity. • Pre shift inspections: checking hydraulics, mast, tires, forks, fuel, and battery. • Safe operating procedures: starting, maneuvering, lifting, stacking, and parking. • Hazard recognition: pedestrians, ramps, inclines, blind spots, and overhead clearance. • Refueling / recharging safety for gas, diesel, and electric vehicles. • Emergency procedures and workplace communication. 2. Practical / Hands On Training (Approximately 3–4 hours) Supervised operation of forklifts in a controlled environment, focusing on: • Pre operation inspection walk throughs. • Starting and stopping smoothly. • Steering, turning, and operating in confined areas. • Lifting, tilting, and placing loads accurately. • Working around pedestrians and other vehicles. • Traveling forward and in reverse with and without loads. • Stacking pallets, loading/unloading trucks, and proper shutdown. Each trainee demonstrates safe operation under an instructor’s supervision. Evaluation Participants must: 1. Pass a written exam to verify theoretical understanding. 2. Successfully complete a driving evaluation showing safe handling practices. Upon successful completion, operators receive a Forklift Operator Wallet Card valid for three years Course Duration • Total Time: 4 hours (may vary by participant experience). • Offered as a half day session or split between classroom and field training. Intended Audience • New or inexperienced employees requiring forklift certification.

Pay with Approved Company Invoice or Purchase Order (P.O.) Students can also opt to pay using an approved company invoice or purchase order. This method is ideal for organizations sponsoring their employees' education and training. • Approval Process: Invoices and P.O.s must be approved by our finance department • Documentation: Provide necessary company details and authorization • Processing Time: May vary based on company policies Additional Information Payment Deadlines Payments must be completed by the specified deadlines to secure your enrollment in the class. For in-person payments, ensure you arrive with sufficient time to complete the transaction before the class start time.
